Gwynoro's recollections and life story Village and Family.

Here are videos 3 & 4 of some 50 videos of Gwynoro's recollections and life story. There are 12-14 hours of recordings in all.

The initial intention was to use the recordings as an aide memoire to the writing of his book but it has been decided to place them on his channel as well, albeit that they are home video recordings.

Being uploaded over the coming year - one a week.

There were no rehearsals and retakes - all unedited.

Inevitably therefore some events might not be date wise accurately recalled but he will correct such errors in his book  to be published mid 2017.

Video 3 is a short one describing how Foelgastell was when a small boy and how it has all changed.
Refers to 'millionaire’ row' in the village now!
Then goes on to mention the Annual Eisteddfod that was held in the village up until before the Second World War and of a poem written about his great grandfather that won first prize in the Eisteddfod of 1931.

Video 4 gives a general family background of large families! His grandmother one of 8/9 children and his father was one of 12/13 children.
Refers to the extreme closeness between his mother and his grandmother.
Recalls the story of how one of his grandmother's brothers - Wil - got out from the colliery one day to go and watch Llanelli play rugby.
